THE SHOW
After too many hazy years to recall, disenchanted detective Bianca “Buddy” Jacobs tries to steer of problems that might need solving. When she gets a suspicious hang up from Samantha, an old flame, she finds herself wading knee deep into troubled waters. It looks like her former lover might have murdered someone, and it’s up to Buddy to clear her name. If she can keep her head out of the bottle long enough, she might be able to navigate the new-age Proselytizers , dubious fetishists, and her own drifting mind to solve the case.

things haven’t changed much; it’s slightly dirtier and bleaker in the cities and abandoned the further out you get. the gadgets and gizmos are a bit more fun, and People do what they can to get by

Washed out but not quite up - Buddy Ayewa is an ex cop and forever nosey. She can never keep herself from asking questions and saving damsels in distress. Buddy is appealingly amorphous; sometimes clearly attracted to men, sometimes seemingly infatuated with women.
SCOOTER SULLY
Giant with a heart of gold. Gentle, ever-spiritual Scooter isn’t your classic guru. Just as quick with boxing references as he is with medicinal substances, Scooter uses his braun to protect the ones he loves. Semi-retired from the game, Scooter now lives as a recluse in the wild.
Samantha
Endlessly fragile - but never without a plan. Samantha has kept herself beautiful to keep herself safe. Always coupled-up with trouble, she’s jumped from strongman to strongman (or woman) too many times to keep count. Maybe she’s finally learned her lesson, hopefully in time…
